Windows Xp

    • Windows XP Media Center Edition 2003
    • Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004
    • Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, yang dirilis pada 12 Oktober 2004.
  • Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, yang ditujukan untuk PC Tablet (PC denganlayar sentuh)
    • Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005
    • Windows XP 64-bit Edition 2003, dibuat berbasiskan basis kode Windows NT 5.2 (sama seperti Windows Server 2003).

***1) Introduction/Disclaimer***

This is a general FAQ for the fighting game Tekken 5. Because this
guide deals in generalities and covers all 30 fighters, this is not
intended to be a severely in-depth analysis on any particular fighter.

Additionally,

***THIS FAQ CAN AND WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR VARIOUS SECTIONS OF
TEKKEN 5. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED IN ADVANCE.***

***2) Version History***

Version 1.5: Redid the key for the move list. Added a section of
Character Profiles.

Version 1.1: Changes made to the Arcade Battle section. Many thanks
to those who emailed me.

Version 1.0: First version of the FAQ. All sections completed, all
modes covered, and all move lists have been included.

***3) Story Battle***

This is one of the two key modes of Tekken 5. Story Battle is where
you find out each character's intentions for entering the King of the
Iron Fist Tournament 5, as well as what happens when they reach the
end of their journey.

You face nine opponents in Story Battle, and the outline of the nine
stages is more or less like this:

Stage 1: Random opponent

Stage 2: Random opponent

Stage 3: Random opponent

Stage 4: Generally a midpoint character in the story. Depending on the
character you chose, you will either encounter one of your chief foes
here, or you will encounter someone who merely stands in your way.

Several examples:

If you play as Asuka Kazama, you will encounter Feng Wei, the man who
attacked your father and hospitalized him, during Stage 4. Feng is a
key figure in Asuka's story.

If you play as Mokujin, you will encounter Roger Jr., who will agree
to help you find your children, during Stage 4. Roger Jr. is not a key
figure to Mokujin's story.

Stage 5: Usually another random opponent

Stage 6: Random opponent

Stage 7: Almost always a character key to the story of the character you
have chosen. Several examples:

If you play as Paul Phoenix, you will encounter Kuma, a fighter who has
long been a thorn in Paul's side, in Stage 7.

If you play as Christie Monteiro, you will encounter Eddy Gordo, a fighter
who does not want you to risk too much for your grandfather, in Stage 7.

Stage 8: Almost always the fighter Devil Jin, with a couple of exceptions.
For example, if you play as Raven, you will meet Heihachi Mishima instead.
If you play as Devil Jin, you will meet Asuka Kazama.

Final Stage: Jinpachi Mishima. Jinpachi is the man who held the King of
Iron Fist Tournament 5. He is consumed by an evil entity that transforms
him into a very tough opponent.

*Note: Many people believe that Jinpachi is a very cheap fighter, and I more
or less agree with them. Jinpachi can do more damage than any other fighter,
and he has two crushing moves: a stun move that seems to take a very high
priority and stops you in your tracks (and leaves you open to his attacks),
and a fireball attack that MUST be sidestepped, or you will lose more than
half your health in one blast. Most characters have jump-in moves or other
moves that Jinpachi seldom blocks, so use those to your advantage!

After defeating Jinpachi, you will see your character's ending. Some endings
are serious and provide a good deal of insight into the character's life,
but some endings are comical and simply provide a lighthearted conclusion to
a hard day's work in the King of Iron Fist Tournament. Whatever the case may
be, enjoy your ending!

Additionally, completing Story Battle multiple times will unlock nine of the
ten hidden fighters in Tekken 5.

Beat Story Mode once = unlock Roger Jr.

Beat Story Mode twice = unlock Anna Williams

Beat Story Mode three times = unlock Baek Doo San

Beat Story Mode four times = unlock Bruce Irvin

Beat Story Mode five times = unlock Wang Chirei

Beat Story Mode six times = unlock Kuma/Panda

Beat Story Mode seven times = unlock Ganryu

Beat Story Mode eight times = unlock Mokujin

Beat Story Mode nine times = unlock Heihachi Mishima

Please note that you MUST beat Story Battle each time with a different fighter
in order to unlock the hidden character.

One final note, every time you beat Story Battle with a new fighter, you will
earn 100,000G for customizing your fighters.

***4) Arcade Battle***

Arcade Battle is the other main mode of Tekken 5. In Arcade Battle, you are
to select a character with whom you will raise from the ranks of Beginner, all
the way to the echelon of Tekken Lord.

After you select a character, you will fight your first opponent, who will be
selected for you based on your character's ranking. After beating him/her, as
you watch your fighter celebrate, you are given four options: the fighter on
the top (whom you can choose to fight by pressing Up on the D-pad), the fighter
in the middle (whom you can choose by pressing Right on the D-pad), the fighter
on the bottom (Down on the D-pad), or Exit out of Arcade Battle (Left on the
D-pad). You are given the name of the fighter and their ranking. Think fast,
though! You are not given too much time to make your decision.

For each fight you win, you are awarded money for customization. The amount
you receive depends on how much higher your opponent's ranking is than your
own.

The believed formula, as given to me by Dion Riojas:

Beat someone the same rank as you = 1000G

Beat someone ranked higher than you = 1000G + 100G for each rank higher than
you (100G bonus for one rank higher, 200G for two ranks higher, etc.)

Beat anyone ranked lower than you = 800G

Beat a Warlord or higher (see below) = 1000G bonus (is not dependent on your
ranking)

If you lose a fight to a character, and you opt to continue, you are allowed
to change your character if you so desire. Regardless of which character you
choose and their ranking, your opponent's rank will not be changed.

The ranking list is roughly:

Beginner ---lowest ranking
9th kyu
8th kyu
7th kyu
6th kyu
5th kyu
4th kyu
3rd kyu
2nd kyu
1st kyu
---
1st dan
2nd dan
3rd dan
4th dan
5th dan
---
Shihan
Expert
Master
Virtuoso
Champion
Legend
Sage
Warlord
Conqueror
Deity
Tekken Lord ---highest ranking

The more you fight and win, the higher your ranking will go. However, if you
lose several fights in a row, you will be at risk of being demoted.

Additionally, on occasion, you will receive an opportunity for a roulette. A
Tekken Roulette will take the amount of money you win from the fight, should
you win, and multiply it by either 2, 3, 5, or 10, depending on what the
roulette hits. You will know that a fight has a Tekken Roulette feature when
the top left of the screen flashes red. Be sure to win as many roulette
matches as you can!

*Note: On one occasion, I was playing Arcade Battle for an extended amount
of time, and from Stages 45-54 or so, I received 8-10 consecutive roulette
battles. Obviously this netted me a LOT of funds, but I have no idea if such
a roulette streak is the result of persistence and getting to Stage 45, or if
the streak is the result of dumb luck over and over again. If I receive any
information through my playing, I will let you know.

***5) Time Attack***

Time Attack will allow you to compete against the computer in a race against
the clock. Your goal is to win all of your fights as fast as you can. You
are allowed continues, but you may not select different characters.

Time Attack will take you through nine stages, the last of which being that
lovable old demon, Jinpachi Mishima (and he's no pushover).

Track your fastest times by selecting Records under the Options menu.

(Note: The difficulty of Time Attack is not dependent on your difficulty
settings or fight round settings under the Options menu.)

***6) VS. Battle***

Versus Battle allows you to complete against your friends (who use the 2P
controller). For added challenge/fairness, you may compete under a handicap
(give yourself more or less health depending on your desires).

After selecting your fighters, you are allowed to either pick a random stage
to battle, or you may cycle through the stages by using the left and right
keys on the D-pad.

***7) Team Battle***

Team Battle is either one-player or two-player, your choice. In Team Battle,
each player selects between one and eight fighters on their team, and the two
teams battle.

If you defeat a member of the other team, your fighter will gain a small
amount of health for the next fighter. However, if you lose, you will have to
resort to the next fighter. The battle ends when one team is out of fighters.

If you fight the computer, you will not know who you are up against until that
fighter is up for battle.

***8) Survival***

Survival mode is one of the greatest tests a fighter can face! In this mode,
you select your fighter, and your goal is to defeat as many fighters as you
can before dying. After defeating an enemy, you replenish a little health.
The enemies are progressively more difficult to defeat.

Survival mode ends when you run out of health and are defeated by the computer.
You must defeat at least seven opponents to overtake the default score on the
Records list.

(Note: The difficulty of Survival is not dependent on your difficulty
settings or fight round settings under the Options menu.)

***9) Practice***

Practice allows you to try out new characters or just fine-tune your skills
with a fighter you already know.

There are three submodes within the Practice mode:

Freestyle: practice against a training dummy. The dummy can be "programmed"
to stand there, block, dodge, or be controlled by the 2P controller.

Vs. CPU Training: fight the computer on the selected difficulty level. There
is no maximum of how much damage you can take; you decide when the match is
over.

Defensive Training: train to dodge specific attacks from a computer opponent.
Select which move you want to train against through the Command List, and press
Select for your computer opponent to start attacking (oh, how I wish Jinpachi
were available for use in this mode!).

***10) Tekken: Devil Within***

In Tekken: Devil Within, you control Jin Kazama in a 3-D action game. The basis
of this game is to learn of Jin's past and the history of the devil gene he
possesses.

There is a spectacular Devil Within FAQ on GameFAQs which I recommend if you
would like in-depth strategy on the game. I have only played through Devil
Within twice, once to unlock Devil Jin and Starblade, and again to find some
of the goodies. I cannot help too much with any Devil Within questions you
might have, but if you want to ask them, I'll do my best.

General Controls:

Left analog stick = Move

Right analog = Control camera

R3 (press right analog) = Reset camera

L1 button = Special Attack

L2 = Change lock-on target

R1 = Lock on

R2 = Change lock-on target

Circle = Jump

X = Kick

Triangle = Guard

Square = Punch

Start = Pause

Select = Show/hide map

L1+Triangle = Turn into Devil Jin

General strategies:

-If you come to an area with a locked door, defeat all the enemies in the
area. That should unlock the door.

-Learn to guard well, especially when fighting groups of enemies. If your
health runs out, it's game over, and that hurts your ranking at the end
of the stage.

-Most things in the lab can be destroyed. Be sure to explore every nook and
cranny for hidden goodies, health bonuses, or extra money.

-Starblade, the arcade game, is hidden on Stage 4-2. Be on the lookout.

-Defeating Devil Within is the easy way to unlock the last character, Devil
Jin. The hard way requires you to play hundreds of matches after unlocking
Heihachi.

-Completing Devil Within gives you a _huge_ amount of money. Don't pass it
up.

-Playing through Devil Within a second time allows you to find hidden goodies
worth your time and effort.

***11) Arcade History***

Arcade History allows you to play three older versions of Tekken and Starblade,
an old shooter by Namco.

With all three Tekken games, controls are essentially identical to the default
settings of Tekken 5: LP = Square, RP = Triangle, LK = X, RK = Circle.
Holding Select will give you access to the Options menu, which will allow you
to change the difficulty, fight count, timer, and other options.

*Note: The move lists of the characters within the first three Tekken games
may not match up with the move lists of those characters in Tekken 5. It would
be preferable if you checked some Tekken/Tekken 2/Tekken 3 move lists to make
sure certain moves are there. Then again, you could always just use trial and
error. :)

11a) Starblade

Starblade is the shooter you can briefly play while Tekken 5 loads. Control the
aiming device with the left analog stick and fire upon any and all ships that
might come at you. Be careful that you don't run out of health.

11b) Tekken AC version

This is the original Tekken. The graphics might look raggedy by today's
standards, but back in the day, all the hipsters were playing it (I think...
I was still playing Street Fighters and Mortal Kombats back in the day).

The following fighters can be used in Tekken:

Yoshimitsu
Nina Williams
Marshall Law
Kazuya Mishima
Paul Phoenix
Jack
King
Michelle Chang

You will face the other seven fighters, then a special opponent, then Heihachi.

11c) Tekken 2 ver. B AC version

This is the arcade version of Tekken 2. Graphics are better than Tekken. This
is the first Tekken that I played, as well (not like you care).

The following fighters are playable:

Jun Kazama
Yoshimitsu
Nina Williams
Marshall Law
Heihachi Mishima
Paul Phoenix
Jack-2
King
Michelle Chang
Lei Wulong
Kazuya Mishima
Wang Chirei
Kunimitsu
Anna Williams
Baek Doo San
Lee Choalin
Devil/Angel
Kuma/Panda
Prototype Jack
Armor King
Ganryu
Bruce Irvin
Roger/Alex

You will face eight fighters, then Kazuya (or Heihachi if you play as Kazuya),
then Devil.

11d) Tekken 3 AC version

This is the arcade version of Tekken 3. Again, graphics have improved. Tekken
3 is the best of the Playstation generation Tekken games, and I recommend that
you buy this game if you do not have it already. It is likely inexpensive.

The following fighters are playable:

Ling Xiaoyu
Yoshimitsu
Nina Williams/Anna Williams
Forrest Law
Hwoarang
Eddy Gordo/Tiger
Paul Phoenix
King
Lei Wulong
Jin Kazama
Bryan Fury
Kuma/Panda
Heihachi Mishima
Ogre
True Ogre
Julia Chang
Gun Jack
Mokujin

(what, no Gon or Dr. B?)

You will face eight fighters, then Heihachi, then Ogre, then True Ogre.

***12) Theater***

Theater is where you can enjoy all of the intro and ending movies you have
unlocked through Story Battle. To unlock movies, all you have to do is see
them as you progress through Story Battle.

Use the X button to play a movie, and press Triangle to stop it.

Additionally, you can access all of the background themes in Tekken 5.

Enjoy!

***13) Customize***

Customize is where you can change your player name and purchase odds and ends
for your fighters. These purchases will not affect your fighters' abilities
in any way, but they look nice and add a little personality to the otherwise
bland generic costumes.

Below are all the items buyable for all characters. Keep in mind that each
of the two default costumes for each characters have a different set of items
to buy, with a few exceptions (most characters have shared items between
their two costumes that only need to be purchased once).

Happy shopping!

Introduction [be01]
===============================================================================
Hi there. Welcome to my Brave Story walkthrough. In this document, you'll find
a ton of information on "Brave Story: New Traveler", a role-playing game
released for the Sony PSP. You probably knew that already, though. Anyway, I've
written a full guide that takes you through the whole whole game. All the
hidden items that are scattered around at various locations have been listed as
well. By following the main walkthrough, you won't miss anything at all. Sounds
pretty good, eh? While I don't want to sound like an idiot, I am actually very
satisfied with how this walkthrough turned out in the end. If you're wondering
about anything related to Brave Story: New Traveler, chances are that I've got
it covered. Please take a look at the table of contents above this paragraph,
then start reading in the section you find most interesting.
I won't waste more of your time now -- have a good time reading!

Story [be02]
===============================================================================
,,.....................................................................,,
---------------------------------------------------------------------

On a day that starts like any other, a young boy's life is
suddenly changed forever. As the main character and his friend
Miki pass a leisurely afternoon, Miki suddenly collapses from an
unknown illness. The girl shows no sign of waking and this
overwhelms the main character with grief and remorse for not
being a better friend when he had the opportunity. Suddenly, a
strange voice offers him a second chance: 'Beyond the door is a
chance to change your destiny!' He soon leaves the real world and
journeys to the world of Vision, where, as a novice 'Traveler,'
he will surmount myriad ordeals in hopes of ultimately meeting
with the Goddess of Destiny to have a single wish granted.

He makes friends both strange and fascinating as he finds himself
blossoming into a successful Traveler. His courage and resolve
are tested as he and his newfound companions travel the
mysterious lands of Vision. The challenges he faces are daunting,
but his growing sense of self and responsibility propel him ever
forward. Friendships, courage and growth will all prove
indispensable as he seeks out his destiny; a life-changing
adventure and the discovery of a hero inside an ordinary kid.

Main Characters [be03]
===============================================================================
.----------------------.---------.--------------.---------------------------.
NAME: Hero (Tatsuya) AGE: 11 HEIGHT: 5'0" WEIGHT: 100lbs
----------------------'-------------------------------------------------
CLASS: Brave WEAPON: Sword
An average, unremarkable boy '--------------'---------------------------
who is swept up into a most
remarkable adventure. He is passionate about baseball and videogames,
and devoted to his best friend Miki, even if he doesn't always show it.
After Miki falls ill, he heeds the words of a mysterious voice and
goes to the world of Vision, with the hopes of saving Miki's life.

'---------------------------------------------------------------------------´
.----------------------.---------.---------------.--------------------------.
NAME: Yuno AGE: 15 HEIGHT: 5'2" WEIGHT: 102lbs
----------------------'-------------------------------------------------
CLASS: Archer WEAPON: Bow
Yuno is a high-spirited, '---------------'--------------------------
slightly overbearing half
kitkin half ankhakin girl with an insatiable curiosity. In addition to
helping her parents run their inn, she also likes to go hunting in the
woods near her town. She is very bright and cheerful, but can be a
little forceful and aggressive. Yuno is a kind, trustworthy friend.
Even in battles where there's little hope of help or escape, she will
always be there for Tatsuya. She joins him on his quest so that she can
fulfill her dream of seeing the world.

'---------------------------------------------------------------------------´
.----------------------.---------.------------------------.-----------------.
NAME: Sogreth AGE: 30 HEIGHT: 6'11" WEIGHT: 130kg
----------------------'-------------------------------------------------
CLASS: Parent Warrior WEAPON: Axe
Sogreth is a warrior of the '------------------------'-----------------
waterkin who is trying his
best to raise his young son. Ever since his wife died, he has focused
solely on making his 4 year old son into a man. Although he has the best
of intentions, he sometimes takes his role as a mentor and drill sergeant
to ridiculous extremes; much to the despair of his son and the chagrin
of his neighbors. Although it seems unimaginable because of his imposing
appearance, he is surprisingly sentimental and prone to breaking down
into tears when things descend into melodrama. However, when it comes
time to do battle, he is all business. With the strength to cut through
even the toughest hides with his axe, he is the ultimate example of
pure, raw, waterkin power. Yargh!

That's all for now - Ben takes you back to the River Crossing Shack. The
ferryman is still waiting, and this time he says that he wants the two of you
to try something called Birdbrawling, and sends you back to the woods to meet

fight against each other. Just like in real battles, the one that doesn't have
any HP left is the one that loses. Secondly, if the time runs out, the
challenger is the loser - always. After the tutorial battle, Tarma gives you a
[Goalfinch Feather] and says that you can get many feathers by defeating other
SNOBs in Birdbrawl battles. With enough feathers, something good will happen.
Back at the River Crossing Shack, the ferryman has another gift for you, the
[Monster Album] which keeps track of all the monsters you have fought, and what
spoils they drop. Very useful when farming material.
Now that the ferryman has stopped talking, examine the jars around you to find
[Mako Berry], [Recovery Diagram 1], [Fruit of Bravery] & [Sleeping Bag]. Now
you're ready to leave the River Crossing, so head left out to the world map.
Go directly north along the river to find the Town of Sakawa.

At the town entrance, some kinda wagon almost runs Tatsuya over. Yuno gets all
worked up, and wants to check out what kind of fish they're serving in this
place. Nevermind her - catgirls can be crazy, I think. Just like we did in
Lanka, we'll go item hunting in town before doing anything else. Directly
southwest of the town entrance, a person named Wastus is standing. Left of him
there is a jar containing [Speed Diagram 1]. Directly southwest of this jar,
you will find a sea and a wooden platform. On the platform, open the jar to get
another tasty [Jerky]. Make your way to the absolute southeastern corner of
town for another jar and a [Glistenstone]. East of this jar, there is a beach
with a Darbaba animal and a [Fruit of Strength] hidden in a jar. Good work!
o---------------------------o After collecting all the items as described
above, go to the inn in the northwestern part of
Sakawa GENERAL STORE town. Yuno asks the owner for some fish. A
waterkin boy named Minos and his father are in
Mako Berry...........10 here as well, but leave the place quickly.
Jerky................20 Finish your meal at the inn, then ask the owner

uninteresting as always and the Armory does only
o---------------------------o have the same equipment as the one in Lanka had.
o---------------------------o If you didn't buy new equipment in Lanka, do it
here. Kind of boring though, that there isn't
Sakawa ARMORY anything new here. Oh well, we'll get over it.
Now that you've seen Minos at the inn and

The local citizens are all worked up because a Highlander is about to make an
announcement about something. Listen to the announcement. Someone named Meladee
is the one speaking. She says that she has traveled to Lyris in order to
recruit new Highlanders! Cool! This is Tatsuya & Yuno's chance! There is one
problem though; only teams of three persons can apply for the position! Yuno
has already decided that another person has to join the party, but right now,
she doesn't know who that's going to be. While being in deep thoughts, Yuno
runs into someone named Utetta. Utetta says that one of the kids from Sakawa -
the town you visited a moment ago - has gone missing! Utetta is here to ask the
Highlanders for help in finding the kid. Typically, the one missing is Minos,
the poor waterkin boy you saw at the inn in Sakawa. He's escaped from his dad.
Can you see the Darbaba Building in the western end of town? Go in there to
find a jar with a [Gleamstone] inside.
Before rushing back to Sakawa, go into the o------------------------------o
Branch on your left. There's a jar in there
containing a [Camping Set]. There's another LYRIS UPTOWN GENERAL STORE
jar in the Armory north of the Branch. That
one will provide you with a [Immunity Diagram Jerky...................20

it's the same as in the two previous towns. Antivenom...............50
Anyway, we aren't here for shopping. The inn, Antiplegic..............50
which is located southeast of the Armory has Fire Stone..............20
a jar containing a [Jerky], and is also where Enzyme.................100
Toni Fanlon is living. Talking to him will Smokescreen............300

section of this document if that interests
you. We're not done item hunting yet, so go o------------------------------o
right from the inn to reach the upper part of
Lyris - Uptown, if you like fancy names :)
o------------------------------o Uptown is much brighter than the poor
downtown you saw when you entered. In the
LYRIS UPTOWN ARMORY southwestern end of uptown, there is a
General Store with a jar in. The jar contains
Sniper's Bow...........140 a [Gleamstone]. Go back out of the General
Bone Axe...............320 Store and enter the armory in the same
Bronze Guards..........300 building. Happily, this armory has some new
Bronze Bracer..........270 stuff. I recommend selling your Glistenstones
Iron Spaulders.........280 to get some money, then buy the [Bronze
Guards] & [Bronze Bracer]. Remember to equip
o------------------------------o them after shopping. Before leaving the
Armory, pick up [Immunity Diagram 3] and
a [Solvent] from the jars in the corners of the room. Yay for free items.
Since you're done shopping for now, go northeast from the Armory to find a
tavern with two entrances. Head inside one of the entrances to get inside the
tavern. In the lower right corner you will find a jar containing another hot
[Fire Stone], and in the upper right corner there is a [Heartglue] potion. The
last thing to do before leaving the city is to enter the Uptown inn just left
of the tavern. There's a jar with a [Jerky] in there, and of course, the owner
lets you save your game for free, if you feel like. Now, leave Lyris City and
head north, back to Sakawa Town. Godspeed, brave Traveler!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Town of Sakawa - Finding Out About Minos
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Time to investigate and find out where that Waterkin boy Minos went off to.
Most townspeople don't know much, but Reskee, the little fellow in the
southwestern end of town, near the wooden platform, has overheard Minos talking
about going to a cave in order to find medicine for the sick elder of Sakawa
Village. Sounds like Minos cares for other people a lot. So, head into the
elder's house in the western end of the village. A creature named Kee Keema is
walking around there. He says that Minos's footprints have been spotted near
the Seaside Cave west of town. Keema and his gang tried to follow, but was
stopped by some kind of huge, scary monster! Kee Keema says that he's willing
to show the two kids the way to the cave, and joins your party as a guest.
Kee Keema has his own equipment by the way, so don't worry about that. Run to
the world map again now. One there, head southwest from Sakawa to find the
Seaside Cave that Minos went to before vanishing. Head inside if you dare.
What? Of course you have to dare, silly.

The enemies in this cave look pretty nasty, but fighting them is easy, just
remember to heal between the battles. Run left along the cave path. You'll
eventually reach a pretty big open place with a chest in the middle. Open it to
find 105 tems. Nice! Money makes the world go around you know. Run southeast
from the chest to find a long path leading south, then west. Go west at the
first fork to find [Strength Diagram 1], then head north to find a save point
and heal point close to each other. Save and heal, then continue west from the
save point to reach the next, deeper part of the cave. Getting scary here, eh?
To your big surprise, a huge crab is waiting in this room, and he's got Minos
and his dad Sogreth trapped. Watch the scene, then prepare for battle. Sogreth
takes Yuno's place in this battle, but I won't tell you why. Look yourself.
.------------------------------.-----------------.---------------------------.
BOSS BATTLE: Boogaboo Crab TATSUYA LVL: 9 SPOILS: [Great Claw]
------------------------------'----------------- [Claw Spellrock]
TO STEAL: ---- '---------------------------
PARTY: Tatsuya, Kee Keema, Sogreth

- General Info: Considering this a real boss battle isn't something I
like to do, as taking the crab down isn't' much harder than downing a
completely normal monster. Use the Swish, Fillet Unity Skill whenever
it's Tatsuya or Kee Keema's turn, as this attack deals lots of damage.
As for Sogreth, he has a Bravura Skill named Focused Slash. Let him
use that one. You won't have to worry a lot about healing, as the crab
hits the ground really quickly. Most likely before two minutes have
passed. Disappointing, in a good way. Kinda.

'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
Kee Keema leaves after the battle, as he needs to do some package deliveries.
Minos is happy to have been saved from the crab, and gives Tatsuya the first
gemstone. Now, Tatsuya is able to start using Bravura skills, and learns the
one named Lightspark right away. Head right from the boss room now, to find the
path you used earlier flooded with water. However, a new path leading north
from the save point has now been unlocked, so walk on that one to find a
chest with [Bronze Guards], then continue east from the chest until Minos says
he's found another dead end filled with water. Tatsuya uses the gemstone to
break the stone wall here. Run through the hole in the wall to find a star-
shaped pattern on the ground. Out of the pattern, Wayfinder Lau's voice is
channeled in a entirely magic kind of way.
Lau says that when a Traveler finds a gem, he can return to his own world once.
When the Traveler hears the sound of bells though, he has to come back to the
world of Vision. If he doesn't return then, the Traveler will never see Vision,
or his own world again. Tatsuya steps into the pattern, and off he goes, back
to his own world - to the hospital where Miki is sleeping. After a second with
watching over Miki, he goes back to the world of Vision. Quick trip for sure.
Notice how you've now got the [Mirror of Truth] which is used to travel between
the two worlds? Pretty handy, but can't be used manually.
After joining up with Yuno and the others, head south from the star pattern to
arrive on the world map again. Run over to Sakawa, which is Minos's home. The
next day, the village elder thanks everyone for their efforts. He's especially
happy with Minos, since he found some tidewort medicine in the Seaside Cave.
At the end of the conversation with the elder, Sogreth says he's decided to
come with Tatsuya and Yuno on their journey! Nice! That's your third member!
Before leaving, the elder's adviser hands you the [Quest Book], which is a book
that keeps track of optional sidequests. 'On your way to Lyris now, you hear!

exam. The first task is to collect three Giranha o--------------------------o
Spleens from Seaside Cave. But, Giranhas will
only drop their spleens when they're really angry. When they're really angry,
monsters get the 'Crazed' status and turn bigger and stronger than they usually
are. The conditions that have to be met in order to turn monsters crazed vary
a lot. Head over to Seaside Cave again, and I'll tell you about how to turn the
Giranha monsters crazed. I bet you're so excited that you can't wait. Perhaps.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seaside Cave - Highlander Exam Part 1
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
o--------------------------o The most common enemy in the cave is the
ITEM CHECKLIST Giranha, so just walk around until you find some
of them. Usually, more than one will attack you
Giranha Spleens.....[ ] at the same time. To get their spleens, you need
to make them Crazed, since spleens never drop
o--------------------------o when the Giranha aren't crazed. To make it
happen, kill off a Giranha while another one is
watching. They often go crazed after seeing one of their mates bite the dust in
battle against their enemy, which is you and your party. Poor things. Anyway,
keep on making the Giranhas crazed until you have 3 [Giranha Spleens], then
sprint back to the Branch in Downtown Lyris.

Lyris - Back to the Branch
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A second before you're about to get part two of the exam, father Diamon from
the church comes into the branch, asking the Highlanders there to deal with a
monster spotted northwest of Lyris, at Triankha Hospital. Too bad, no second
exam part for Tatsuya and his party. Sogreth figures that following the
Highlanders, or rather, tailing them to Triankha Hospital isn't a bad idea, so
that's where you'll be going next. Well then, back to the world map you go.
If you check your world map, the hospital has appeared as a red icon a little
west of Seaside Cave. Head over there.

does not contain anything, but the one leading north has a [Fruit of Agility]
inside. Head back to the corridor again now. You'll see that the corridor
itself splits into two paths. One leading north and one leading east.
First, follow along the eastern path first to find two small doors. Ignore the
one leading south, and head into the northern door to find a chest with a
[Tenderloin] inside. North of the chest there is a door that leads to the part
of the corridor you would have reached if you went along the north fork instead
of going east as you did. So, head north from the chest, then go one
room further north for a cut-scene.
An old woman and a masked man are talking about taking and giving orders in
here. Tatsuya & friends overhear their conversation. The masked man tried to
kill the woman with a flame skill, but hits your party instead, by mistake. The
masked man sees the gem in the sword that Tatsuya is carrying, and stops
thinking about finishing them off for some reason. He says that the monster
that the Branch were called here to fight is dwelling just ahead. Thanks for
the tip, scary man. After the masked dude has left, sprint left and enter the
small door leading south to find a Healing Point and a Save Point. Close to
them, there's a door leading north and one leading south. Head into
the northern one to find a [Sharpened Horn], then go into the southern one.
The monster you've been looking for is waiting in here. The people from the
Branch in Lyris are lying on the floor, fainted after fighting against the
monster. This is your chance to prove yourself! To battle!

BOSS BATTLE: Illuyanbulg TATSUYA LVL: 12 SPOILS: [Fire Shard]
----------------------------'----------------- [Tenderloin]
TO STEAL: Speed Caustic '-----------------------------
PARTY: Tatsuya, Yuno, Sogreth

- General Info: Illuyanbulg looks pretty scary, if I may say so. He's
a green dragon with five heads. Unfortunately, he's not as tough to
beat as he looks. There's not one target for each head either - only
one vulnerable target for the whole boss. To make the battle even
easier, the dragon only has standard, physical attacks that aren't
very strong. You might have to heal using Yuno's Healing Wind once
or twice, but that's all. Just keep on using Bravura Skills until
Illuyanbulg bites the dust. Not much harder than the crab you killed
when saving Minos in Seaside Cave.

'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
Master Kyte from the Branch is still alive, but his mates are dead. Kyte says
that since Tatsuya and the others killed the monster, they're allowed to become
Highlanders. You'll receive some [Firewyrm Rings] from Kyte, then he dies. The
party now travels back to Lyris to tell the other Highlanders about what
happened at the hospital. That's it. No time to stop and cry over spilt milk.
Lets move on to the next chapter now.

Check your world map again. An icon for a border a bit southwest of Lyris has
appeared on the map. Head over to that border to check things out. Once you've
reached the border, make sure you save and heal using the two spheres near the
entrance. If you talk to the people here, you'll get to hear about two bandits
who have been causing problems for people crossing the border. The border guard
lets you through the gate after Yuno has flashed the Firewyrm Rings that prove
that you're Novice Highlanders. To everyone's big surprise, some guards are
waiting on the other side of the gate. The guards seize Tatsuya & friends.
Turns out some bandits have been tricking people, telling them they were
Highlanders and showing them Firewyrm Rings. No one is safe in this world!
After some verbal fighting, Kee Keema comes driving in a wagon. He recognizes
Tatsuya's party from earlier, and introduces you to Wataru & Meena. Wataru is
another Traveler like Tatsuya, and Meena is a catgirl. After some talking, the
chief of the guards, Leynart, seems to be a reasonable man, and doesn't think
that Sogreth and Yuno are the real culprits. However, until he has cleared
their names, he'll have to keep you here, he says. Too bad, sir! Since Yuno and
Sogreth are the only suspects, Tatsuya is allowed to leave the place if he
wants to. The plan Tatsuya comes up with it following Wataru and Meena, and
trying to catch the real bandits in order to clear his friends' name.
Wataru and Meena now join your party as guests, while Sogreth and Yuno stay
behind at the Bog-Sasayan Border. Aw, that has to be boring for them.
Before leaving the border, head back to the main gate. You'll see three jars on
the ground. They contain [Lightning Stone], [Tenderloin] & [Fruit of Bravery].
Run straight left from the three jars to find another one. This jar contains
the [Bravery Diagram 2]. After getting all the items, head back north to the
world map. On the world map, head straight east from the border for a cut-
scene. During the scene you'll see the real bandits - a catkin girl and a
waterkin robbing a merchant before continuing east. If you check your map,
you'll see that a bandit hideout has appeared on the map, southeast of your
current location. That's your destination, so run over there.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bandit Hideout
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
o----------------------------o The enemies here are humans, and should not be
ITEM CHECKLIST underestimated. Since Yuno is not in your
party, use Meena to heal when needed, using her
Fortune Diagram 1.....[ ] Love Song skill. Head north at the first fork,
Defense Diagram 1.....[ ] and keep going north until you find a chest
containing a [Fortune Diagram 1]. On your way
o----------------------------o back south to where you came from, go east when
you reach a small fork just before the main
path. The chest you'll run into has a [Defense Diagram 1] inside. Back at the
beginning of the area, follow the path northwest this time, instead of going
north. The path splits into many smaller parts just ahead, but there's no
treasure to get by walking to the end of any of 'em, so just keep on following
the main path northwest in order to reach the next area.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bandit Hideout - Mountainside
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Head north at the first fork and examine the o----------------------------o
pile of leaf on the ground to find a [Fruit of ITEM CHECKLIST

pile nearby, since it's just covering another Bandit Spellrock......[ ]
hole. Back at the save point, start making your
way north along the mountain path. Ah, Nature :) o----------------------------o
When the path once again splits, take your party east, as you can't get the
chest that's at the end of the northern part yet. You'll find four piles of
leaf in a big square-formed area. There's two items and two holes. In the lower
right pile there is a [Antiventom], and in the upper left pile there is a
[Tenderloin]. The two other ones are only hiding nasty holes.
Sprint east from the four leaf piles. When you reach a fork, go east for
another chest and a single pile of leaf. The leaves are hiding a cozy
[Sleeping Bag], while the chest contains a whooping 933 tems. Walk back to the
last fork and head north this time around. You'll run into a Save Point and a
Healing Point, as well as a passage leading east. Save, heal, and go east to
find the two bandits. They're named Dusty and Mari.
.----------------------------.-----------------.-----------------------------.
BOSS BATTLE: Mari & Dusty TATSUYA LVL: 17 SPOILS: [Jerky]
----------------------------'----------------- [Tenderloin]
TO STEAL: ---- '-----------------------------
PARTY: Tatsuya, Wataru, Meena

- General Info: You'll be surprised when you see that Mari & Dusty act
pretty much identical to what Yuno & Sogreth act like in battle. Same
moves and everything. Watch out for Mari's Sniper skill - heal using
Meena's Love Song if needed - and concentrate all of your Bravura
Skills on taking down Mari first, since without her, there is no
one left to heal the enemy party.

With Mari beaten senseless, only Dusty is left standing, and he has
no means to heal himself. Don't take it easy however. Most of his
attacks are normal melee attacks, but now and then, he'll use his
Roundhouse axe attack, and this attack is pretty strong. So, don't
forget about healing just because Mari has been defeated.

'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
When you thought everything was fine after defeating the bandits, another
couple of thieves appear. Just like Dusty & Mari, they're a kitkin girl and a
waterkin male. You'll have to fight them. The battle is identic to the one you
just got through, so you shouldn't have too many problems in beating them.

BOSS BATTLE: Cait & Lucky TATSUYA LVL: 17 SPOILS: [Jerky]
----------------------------'----------------- [Tenderloin]
TO STEAL: ---- '-----------------------------
PARTY: Tatsuya, Wataru, Meena

- General Info: This battle is the same as the one against Mari &
Dusty, so read the paragraphs above, if you need hints.

'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
And can you believe it? There's a third battle as well. The fact that the third
battle is fought the same way as the previous two, against the same kinds of
enemies, makes the whole thing even scarier.
.----------------------------.-----------------.-----------------------------.
BOSS BATTLE: Ned & Ashlee TATSUYA LVL: 17 SPOILS: [Tenderloin]
----------------------------'----------------- [Jerky]
TO STEAL: ---- [Bandit Spellrock]
PARTY: Tatsuya, Wataru, Meena '-----------------------------

- General Info: This battle is the same as the two battles
above, so read the paragraphs above, if you need hints.

'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
Well, after all you ended up getting through three battles against three
couples of bandits. Not bad at all, not bad at all. Your party traps the
bandits, and waits for Leynart from the military to arrive. Leynart says that
Tatsuya & friends may return to the border and pick up Yuno and Sogreth
whenever they wish now, since their names have been cleared. Save your progress
when the game asks you to. Nice service, that auto-save feature. Back at the
border, Leynart gives you a gift from the people that were robbed by the
bandits you just took care of. There's four gems in the bag, but you only get
to keep one of them. Your sword will get aligned to one element depending on
what stone you choose. It's your choice:
Red Gem - Fire Element
Blue - Ice Element
Purple - Lightning Element
Green - Wind Element
Choose the gem you want to have. I won't force you to get any particular one,
so choose yourself. This gem will not only align Tatsuya's sword to the element
of the gem, but it also acts as a proper Gemstone, so now you have two of them.
Suddenly, another of those star-shaped patterns pop up on the border gate.
Tatsuya runs over to the pattern and warps back to his own world. Back at the
hospital, a mysterious voice tells Tatsuya that a Traveler named Rei is the one
that made Miki fall into slumber. Rei is currently traveling through Vision,
just like Tatsuya and his friends are. And now, back we go to Vision and a new
chapter of this strange game.

South of the border there is a location on your map named Vahadina. Run over

head over to the northeastern part of town to meet Mamanmu, the Chairman of
SNOB. He transforms Tatsuya's old bird net into a [Beefed-up Net]. Speak with
him again to receive the [Bird Diagram 1]. The old man explains that more bird
diagrams can be earned by defeating other SNOBs in birdbrawls.
Lets start collecting items from the various jars scattered around the outpost.
There's some [Wakewater] just right of the outpost entrance, a [Smokescreen]
close to Mamanmu, the old SNOB, and a [Camping Set] in the northeastern end of
town, close to a woman named Sasha. The next jar is located just left of Sasha,
outside the Darbaba Post building. It contains the useful [Speed Diagram 2].
There's still a jar left in the west end of town, outside the Armory,
containing a [Immunity Diagram 7]. Now it's time to see what's going on in the
outpost's branch, right of the entrance.
o------------------------------o The only person left in the branch is a man
named Solbe. He isn't a Highlander, but knows

Tatsuya to talk to her once he's ready to go.
Before that, we need some weapons, so head to the armory on your left side. All
of the party members we have with us right now need new weapons, and armor too.
You'll want to buy one of each item the o------------------------------o
armory is selling. In all, that makes one of
each following item: [Greatbow] & [Iron VAHADINA GENERAL STORE
Bracer] for Yuno, [Bardiche] & [Solid
Spaulders] for Sogreth and finally some [Iron Jerky...................20
Guards] for Tatsuya. You might also want to Tenderloin..............80
drop by the general store for some potions Antivenom...............50
and food items, but those are up to you. I Antiplegic..............50
won't force you to buy any of them. Once you Swig of Sanity..........50
feel like you're done shopping, and ready to Recall Juice...........100
go after the missing Highlanders, go and talk Heartglue..............100

northeast of the armory. Now you'll get to Smokescreen............300
control a Darba wagon out on the world map. Sleeping Bag...........100
Camping Set............100
Drive straight east from the outpost for a
cut-scene. Yuno's good luck charm has, for o------------------------------o
some reason, started flashing. Sogreth thinks
this means there's a gemstone nearby. Suddenly, Sogreth gets to see something
lying on the ground, glowing. It's not a gemstone, but a firewyrm band, the
sign that Highlanders carry with them. The band turns out to be Cecilia's
sister's band, [Meladee's Band]. Before anyone realizes what's happening, your
party gets sucked into a pool of quicksand. You end up below the ground, in
some kind of ancient ruins. Really scary, but very interesting.

There's only one path to follow at the beginning, so keep going until you find
Meladee, trapped by some monsters. There's only three of them, so kick their
butts right away, and save Meladee. She joins your party. Since you now have
four party members, you can use the Formation option in the pause menu to
decide your battle lineup. Only three people may fight at the same time.
Continue running through the corridor until the path splits into one path
leading north, and one on your right. Take the right one first to find a chest
containing [Immunity Diagram 9], then take the one leading north. Smart as Yuno
is, she manages to press a button that makes Tatsuya fall down into a trap.
Down here, separated from the others, Tatsuya meets Mitsuru, another Traveler.
The two of them decide to work together on getting out of here. Once in
control, you'll notice that there's a vendor down here as well. He's selling
both weapons and general items, so buy some healing items from him if you're
low on those. Why? Because neither Tatsuya or Mitsuru have healing spells.
The vendor is also selling [Bloom of Tassets], a piece of armor that Meladee
can use. If you plan of fighting using her, buy this armor piece, okay?
After buying your stuff and things, head east from the vendor to find a square-
formed room with a chest. It contains a [Heartglue] item. Now go south from the
vendor to find a place where you can heal and save. Make your way south into a
room with three stone pillars. Exit this room south to find another pillar
room. In the lower left corner of that room there is a [Life Diagram 2]. Go
back to the room with three pillars, and exit that room east this time. Keep on
following the only that from here north, until you find a chest with an
[Aquamite] inside. Run west from this chest, and head north at the first fork.
You'll find a chest containing a [Tenderloin] close to a set of stairs. Take
the item, then go downstairs. At the bottom, there are two chests. One
containing [Antivenom], and one with some [Wakewater]. Make sure you heal using
the Healing Point down here before running up the stairs again.
Back upstairs, head west at the fork you went north to get to the stairs at
earlier. By heading west you will find a room with some kind of device where a
code has to be entered. The code is 'AGARA BELA NEM'. After entering the code,
a set of stairs appear in front of you. Run to the top, brave youths. Mitsuru
leaves the party once you've gotten to the top of the stairs, and Tatsuya meets
Sogreth and the others again. Hooray for reuniting with old friends.
Use the save and healing points near the top of the stairs you just ran to the
top of, then run east from there. You'll see a corridor with dirty walls
leading east, and one normal corridor leading south. Take the south path first
for some [Bugswatters], a weapon Meladee can use. Now backtrack a little and
head east on the path with the dirty walls.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Emmet Colony
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this first area of the Emmet Colony, there is o---------------------------o
a path leading directly south from the entrance.
Walk on this path to find a room with a [Fruit ITEM CHECKLIST

colony, but this time, make your way to the Fruit of Braver......[ ]

diagram [Strength Diagram 2], then, save and o---------------------------o

the southern end. There's no more treasures for you at this point.
The next room, which is the nest, is where you'll meet the rest of the
Highlanders from Vahadina. In addition, you'll meet a nasty monster boss!
Before fighting the monster, talk to the three Highlanders to get a
[Force Caustic], [Tenderloin] and [Dash Tonic]. Happy, happy, happy.
.----------------------------.-----------------.-----------------------------.
BOSS BATTLE: Emmestine TATSUYA LVL: 21 SPOILS: [Cryptic Pelt]
----------------------------'----------------- [Emmet Spellrock]
TO STEAL: Force Caustic '-----------------------------
PARTY: Tatsuya, Meladee, Yuno

- This battle is a little tougher than the previous boss battles.
Let Yuno take care of ALL the healing, while Tatsuya and Meladee
deal damage to the boss. It helps a lot to have Meladee's Bugswatters
weapon in this battle. You found it in the ruins.

At the very beginning of the battle, use the Unity Skill 'Highlander
Spirit' in order to raise Meladee and Tatsuya's attack power. The
boss has a move that will raise its attack power as well, so expect
it to deal quite a bit of damage when it attacks you. Once again,
make sure that Yuno heals Tatsuya and Meladee whenever it's needed.

'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
The third gemstone is hidden within the emmet's body, and Tatsuya finds it.
Now, Tatsuya learns to use a handful of magic spells: Heal, Return and Exit.
Since he's now got a new gemstone, Tatsuya goes back to Miki's hospital. There,
he meets the Traveler Rei. Seems like Rei is the masked man you saw at the
hospital back in the world of Vision. Unfortunately for Tatsuya, he has to go
back to Vision right away. No time to chat with Rei. Back in Vision, Meladee
says she wants to follow Tatsuya on his adventures, and awards the whole party
with ranks as true Highlanders, not just Novice Highlanders. So yup, one
[Firewyrm Band] to each party member. True Highlanders can go and report to all
Highlander Branches and receive bounties, according to the number of monsters
they've slain. That's a good deal, so check it out later on.
Also note that from now on, whenever you travel on the world map, you'll be
driving the wagon instead of walking around on foot. This makes it much easier
and quicker to travel from town to town. In addition Tatsuya has also learned
a healing spell, and a skill that lets you exit any dungeon, by choosing 'Exit'
from Tatsuya's Bravura Skill menu.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Revisiting Desert Ruins - 1F (optional)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Desert Ruins have now appeared on the world map, in the middle of the
desert. By entering the ruins from the map, you will arrive at Floor 1, or 1F,
as described in the game itself. On Floor 1, you will find some stairs leading
down to the floor with the secret trap switch, and a path leading southwest.
Ignore the stairs and follow this path instead. First, ignore all the forks,
and go southwest until you reach a dead end with a chest. Inside you will find
a [Fruit of Vitality]. After getting the fruit, kill the chest, since it lives.
Run east at the fork close from the chest to find a locked door with the
inscription 'Take The Sand Out of Your Clogs' on. Next, run over to the western
part of the area for another locked door saying 'To Enter the Forest, Ease Over
the Seas'. Sprint to the southwestern corner now, where you'll find a locked
door with the inscription 'Clear Away Every Cloud' on. Move directly east from
this door, and go north at the first fork to find a chest containing a
[Silvervold] stone. At the fork again, go southeast this time, and when you
find the passage in the southeastern end leading to a new area, ignore it and
head directly north for a chest with 645 tems in. Right now, you can't do
anything more in here, but after examining the door that said to take the sand
out of your clogs, you can start the 'Riddle From The Past' sidequest. Make
sure you examine the other doors as well as there are sidequests for those too.
Refer to the sidequests section if you want to do this. If you don't want to
spend time on it right now, just continue on with the main walkthrough in the
paragraph below this one. Whatever suits you best is fine.

Vision Cataclysm [wa08]
===============================================================================
East of the Emmet Colony, there is a town named Gasara. Just take a look at the
world map, and you'll see it at once. Drive through the desert, towards Gasara.
At the end of the desert, the scenery changes; suddenly you're in a forest,
instead of the sandy desert from a moment ago. This place is named Foresta
Morgana. The spellrocks that the bosses in the game drop are used to get
through a set of stones that are blocking the paths in the forest. There's many
chests in here, but getting them all isn't possible right now, since you don't
have all the claw spellrocks. Refer to the section I've dedicated to Foresta
Morgana in this walkthrough if you want to get some items right now, then,
afterwards, exit the woods and head all the way east through the desert again.
This time, you won't end up in Foresta Morgana by going straight towards the
town of Gasara, so don't worry. If you're wondering about how to get back to
Foresta Morgana later on, I can tell you that the forest usually appears in the
northeastern part of the desert, but sometimes, at other locations in the
desert. It's a magic forest after all, but it never appears outside of the
hot desert. Anyway, head over to Gasara now.

Kutz, one of Meladee's friends is running around at the town entrance, chasing

words, she holds the same position as Meladee has back in Vahadina. Meladee
wants to catch up on stuff with her friend, and leaves the party for the time
being. Head outside of the Branch, and go left towards the restaurant for a
short cut-scene where two workers and a short fellow with green hair are
talking to each other about wild monsters. The workers leave, and the green-
haired person introduces himself as Dr. Ropple. Ropple follows your party back
to the Branch. Back there, Kutz says that the Branch has received information
about a monster being on the loose in an underground lake near town.
After some additional chatting, everyone joins up with your party. Tatsuya,
Sogreth, Yuno, Meladee, Ropple and Kutz. They're all with you now. Crazy.
Before leaving the Branch, talk to Trone, the white tiger-like creature

The cave is pretty dark, but you won't have any problems seeing the path in

chest containing [Fruit of Wisdom]. Go back to the fork and head right this
time. The next time the path splits, go left first for a [Immunity Diagram 4],
then continue right afterwards. Another fork is waiting just ahead. This time,
run right first for a 298 tems, then proceed left afterwards to find a passage
leading to the next area and a cut-scene.
Just like in the first area, the path splits pretty quickly. Follow it left
first to end up near a chest containing the [Scalepeelers], Twinblades that you
should let Meladee equip right away. Run back and go right at the fork this
time. A statue is blocking the path, but you can just run around it to find a
save and healing point. Use them, then continue east to reach the next area.
A chest is waiting for you near the entrance of this area. Open it to get some
fresh [Crystal Water]. Go northeast from this chest to find another one
containing 530 tems, and one containing [Experience Diagram 1] just south of
the second chest. Return to the first chest again, and go west from there. Keep
running until you see another chest on your right side. Open it for a
[Tenderloin], then head southwest from the chest to find some [Tears].
Now it's time to return to the previous chest (the tenderloin one) and go east.
Run south at the next fork to find yet another chest containing 149 tems.
Process east at the fork after getting the tems, to reach another area. The
first thing that happens in there, is the initiation of another boss battle.

BOSS BATTLE: Nero TATSUYA LVL: 27 SPOILS: [Tentacle Spellrock]
----------------------------'----------------- [Tentacle]
TO STEAL: Corrosive '-----------------------------
PARTY: Tatsuya, Meladee, Kutz

- General Info: Nero isn't just one boss - it's two. There's two
octopus enemies, and both of them have to be killed. It would be
foolish to attack both of them at the same time, so start attacking
the right octopus. I recommend using Kutz's 'Deadly Vibes' skill,
as it's very, very effective against Nero.

Make sure you're properly leveled before the battle, and use Yuno or
Meladee to heal the others throughout the whole battle.
As long as you use Deadly Vibes, and supply with other Bravura Skills
from the other non-healing party member, the battle is pretty easy.

If you're not properly leveled, or forgot to put Kutz in your battle
lineup, the battle might be harder, as Nero can regenerate his
tentacles if you're not able to deal enough damage. So, go Kutz!
Once the first octopus is dead, kill the second one.

'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
Everyone goes back to Gasara after the battle, and Kutz leaves the party.
Ropple, however, decides to keep following you for a while. End of chapter.

To find the cave you're looking for, drive southeast from the border until you

return to the SNOB, and go northwest to find a passage leading to the next
area. Go there right now for a cut-scene.
There's a huge gate here. Ropple thinks that someone built it to keep something
locked in here. Turns out Meladee doesn't want anyone to open the gate right
now, so you can't do it after all. Oh well, run directly southeast from the
magic gate in order to find yet another new area.
Run left at the beginning, and follow the path until you find a chest. It
contains a good weapon for Yuno, the [Silver Longbow]. Now run back, and head
right at the beginning of the area this time. You'll find yet another fork.
Take the path leading left to find two chests. They contain a [Wizard's Hat]
and some [Silver Spaulders]. Make sure to equip them on Sogreth and Ropple,
then head right at the fork afterwards, to find a save/healing point. Just
right of the save point, you'll reach the world map again. Done with the cave.

seems to be unable to talk as well. Just before the party is about to leave the
Branch, a man named Chakka comes running into the building, saying he's the
chief of the coal miners association in Paulta. He has no idea why people don't
talk either. Ropple comes up with the idea that he can make the people talk

.----------------------------.-----------------.-----------------------------.
BOSS BATTLE: Alchemon TATSUYA LVL: 32 SPOILS: [Scythe Spellrock]
----------------------------'----------------- [Tears]
TO STEAL: Swig of Sanity '-----------------------------
PARTY: Tatsuya, Leynart, Meladee

- General Info: Start off by increasing your party's DEF by using
Leynart's Protection skill. Continue by attacking Alchemon using
Tatsuya's Triple Thrust and Leynart's EX Storm skill. They're both
quite effective. Meladee should heal the others, and when its not
needed, let her attack using whatever skill you feel like using.
Alchemon will focus on first lowering your BP stats, then attacking
using his melee weapon. When he's close to dying, he might use his
Omnidrain move, which drains close to all of your BP.
When, or if this happens, continue by using Normal attacks, and heal
by eating items. Continue doing so until you win.

'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
Now that you've killed Alchemon, Leynart explains that he's quit being a knight
now, for personal reasons. Since the problem in the swamp has been solved, the
major back in town gives you the [Liquid Lament] you need in order to make the
people back in Paulta start talking again. After getting the Lament, head over
to the northern part of town to see Leynart walking into a house he's rented.
Turns out Leynart has brought a young lady with him into the house. The woman's
name is Sasha, but she can't remember anything. Sasha is Leynart's wife, but
can't remember that either. After some talking, Leynart re-joins your party!
If you plan on using Leynart in battle, head south through the borders cavern
again, making your way through the desert and back to Vahadina. Speak with
Sasha's mom in the northeastern part of town in order to learn MIND's EYE,

Run south until you see a mine-cart railway. Follow it when it turns north to
find a chest with 136 tems. Southeast of this there is another small path
leading to a chest with a [Recall Juice] inside. Run west from the chest to
find a passage leading to the next area - 2nd Strata. Another cart track starts
in the second area. Follow it south at the first fork to find a chest. This one
contains [Paralyze Powder]. Run back to the fork and head left. When the path
splits again, go right for some [Tears], then go back and run left.
The path leads in one direction, and in the end, you'll end up in the
southeastern corner of the room, where there is a passage. Go in there.
This area is very straight-forward. Just keep following the only path you see
until you find a save and healing point. First go northwest from the save point
to find a [Gildergold] stone in a chest. Go a little south, then west from the
save point for another chest with a [Defense Diagram 3] inside, then head
directly south to the next area, after saving of course. Welcome to 4th Strata.
There's a path leading north from the entrance of 4th Strata. Follow that path
if you want the [Goddess's Rain], a potion item. Go south from the entrance
now, and follow the path until you find a chest containing [Crystal Light].
Continue east from this chest for another healing/saving point. West of the
save point you'll find the [Experience Diagram 2], so that that, then go north.
A dead man is lying on the path in front of you, burned to crisp. Ignore him
and continue running north for a cut-scene.
It looks like something has broken into the mine from the rock wall, as
everything seems pretty carved out here. Run into the carved-out hole.
Sprint past all the dead men, and watch the scene with Rei and the dragon.
After the scene, it's time for another boss battle.
.----------------------------.-----------------.-----------------------------.
BOSS BATTLE: Kashin Kogi TATSUYA LVL: 36 SPOILS: [Tangret]
----------------------------'----------------- [Tourmand]
TO STEAL: Mind Caustic [Crystal Lightning]
PARTY: Tatsuya, Meladee, Ropple [Wizard Spellrock]
'-----------------------------

- First of all, make sure you have Ropple in your battle lineup, as his
magic Bravura Skills make the battle much easier. Start by killing
Kashin's two servants as quickly as possible. If he summons one of them
again, take him/her out right away. Now that the servants are gone,
start attacking Kashin with Bravura Skills. After a while, Kashin
will use his 'Null Physical Damage' move, making himself invincible
against normal attacks. This is where Ropple comes into the picture.

While constantly healing the others using Meladee, let Ropple use
his EX Bravura Skills, as they deal damage to Kashin, even after he's
used the Null Damage move. You can also use most Unity Skills against
Kashin. Tatsuya's 'Holy Blade' is a good one that is pretty effective.

'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
Use the save point in the boss room, then let the dragon take you away. Volgh,
the dragon, takes you to the dragon council which is being lead by The Wyrmking
himself. The dragon Vyne gives Tatsuya the fourth gemstone now. The star sigil
which lets Tatsuya go back to his own world appears behind The Wyrmking's
throne, so run over there to get back to Miki's hospital. Rei is already there,
standing over Miki's bed. In order to stop Rei from killing Miki, fight him.
Start attacking him, and keep on fighting until the battle is interrupted. Rei
has to go back to the World of Vision, and runs away. Tatsuya goes back too.
Back at the Dragon Council, The Wyrmking gives Tatsuya his Bravesoul move, the
INDOMITABLE SPIRIT, which will automatically revive Tatsuya after getting
knocked out -- occasionally. The dragon Vyne now joins you. You can fly on the
world map by summoning Vyne from the 'other' option, or summon him in battle
from Tatsuya's Bravura Skill menu. This is where chapter eight ends.

middle of the village in order to learn
o------------------------------o Meladee's Bravesoul move named JUST REWARDS.
This Bravesoul lets Meladee return the favor after taking a hit in battle. You
know, attacking after getting attacked. It only happens now and then though,
and not always. Anyway, get on Vyne now, and fly over to the Observatory that
is located just east of Vahadina on the world map. It won't take long, on the
back of a dragon.

Behind him you'll find a jar containing a ITEM CHECKLIST
[Fruit of Wisdom]. After taking and eating
the fruit, run up the stairs in the upper Fruit of Wisdom........[ ]
end of the room to reach the second floor. Tenderloin.............[ ]

close to the jar in the left end in order to initiate the sidequest named
'The Klutzy Starseer'. Run up to the third floor now.
Up here, you'll meet Dr. Baksan, Ropple's master and teacher. He has to be the
smartest man in the whole world, being Ropple's master and all. Baksan shares
his view on the situation with Rei and the Firewyrms with your party. His
advice is to backtrack to Lyris. So, do that -- go to Lyris.

Kutz meets you at the entrance, dressed as a religious preacher. She says that
Father Diamon of the cathedral has started a rebellion. After dressing up in
the costume Kutz gives you, head to uptown, and go inside the Cathedral. A
underground passage has appeared behind the statue in here. Go down there.
Down here, go left into a new area to meet some Black Vespids. Kill 'em off.
Continue southwest into a corridor after killing the vespids. At the first
fork, run right to find a room with a [Mind Caustic], then go back to the fork
and head southwest this time. The path is pretty long, so keep on following it
past some unreachable rooms until you're in a room with two benches.
In the room with the two benches, go south to find a square-formed room. First
head south out of this room for a [Fruit of Constitution], then go west to find
a room with lots of useless stone squares. Head south out of this room to find
a chest containing [Strength Diagram 4]. Now go north from the room with the
stone squares. You'll find a save and healing point, thankfully. Save and heal
your party members. Go west from the save point, then head south for some
[Forget Powder]. Afterwards, return to the save point and go north into the
passage there. You'll end up in a new area which is called the southern part of
the Cathedral, although, i wouldn't call it that, since we just went north.
Anyway, now that you're in the 'southern' part of the Cathedral, run directly
west from the entrance. You will end up in a square-formed room with a chest
in the middle. The chest contains a [Gildergold] stone. Yahuuh for valuable
stuff. Go back to the entrance, and go northeast this time, into a passage.
As fun as it might sound, you're now in the 'Eastern' part of the Cathedral.
According to the game itself, that is.
Sprint a tiny bit northeast to find a huge room with one path leading left and
another one leading right. Follow the left one into a room with some stone
squares, then go south. Open the chest you run into for a [Fruit of Bravery].
Now go back to the huge room with two paths. This time, head north from there
to find another chest containing 1,824 tems. Back in the room with two paths,
go east this time, then sprint south. You'll see a passage leading south, and a
path leading right. Ignore the path leading right. Go south instead.
This room is pretty dark, and there are stone pillars on all sides. Run
directly right to reach another save and healing point. Use them, then head up
the stairs just right of the save and healing point. Time for a cut-scene.
Also, phew, writing this is getting pretty tough, you know :P
Father Diamon has teamed up with Rei, but they're not very friendly with each
other. Watch how Rei summons Volgh, who has no choice but to listen to what Rei
commands him to do, then prepare for battle.

BOSS BATTLE: Dragon Alchemon TATSUYA LVL: 41 SPOILS: [Dragon Spellrock]
------------------------------'----------------- [Smokescreen]
TO STEAL: Swig of Sanity '---------------------------
PARTY: Tatsuya, Meladee, Sogreth

- In this battle, we'll simply overpower Alchemon. Make sure your
characters are around level 40. Let Tatsuya use his Triple Thrust skill,
Sogreth can use his Mindbender skill. As for Meladee, she should
primarily act as a healer. You'll need a lot of healing, since
the dragon has several attacks that hit all your party members at once.
Meladee's Zed Heal is perfect for this purpose. In the end, this is
a very easy battle if you've leveled enough.

'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
Go into the passage in the northern part of the room after the battle. Follow
the path until it splits, then head right. You'll find a room with a
[Bravery Diagram 4]. Go south from this room to find another chest containing
[Silvervold]. Now run back to where the path split, and head west this time.
You'll meet a SNOB here. Battle him if you want to, then exit south. You're now
back at the beginning of the level, so just run up the stairs on your right
side to get back to Lyris. Good work. Get back to the world map now. Fly north
to Triankha Hospital, and go inside.

Make your way down to the bottom of the hospital, where you fought a boss at
the beginning of the game. There's a save point and a healing point down there.
Just left of those, a new passage has appeared. Head in there, and run
down the stairs in the next room. You'll reach a fork pretty soon. Go north
first to find two doors. Head into the left one to find a chest with 1,467
tems. The door leading right doesn't lead to any treasure. So, back at the
fork, go east this time, and head inside the lonesome door you'll run into.
Grab the [Lodestar Spaulders] from the chest in here, and let Sogreth equip
them. Back at the fork again, run southwest this time.
After running southwest at the first fork, you'll find another fork. One path
leads left, and one further southwest. Follow the left one to find four doors.
You can get a [Nebula Shield] and the [Sorcery Diagram 4]. Just look at the map
below to find out what doors they're behind. After getting those two items,
head inside 'Room 3' and examine the mirror in there to Warp away.

.------------------------------.-----------------.---------------------------.
BOSS BATTLE: Volgh TATSUYA LVL: 44 SPOILS: [Crystal Evil]
´´´´´´´´´´´ Sorcerer Rei ----------------- [Wakewater]
------------------------------' [Firewyrm Soul]
TO STEAL: Might Tonic, Crystal Evil [Horn of Bravery]
PARTY: Tatsuya, Sogreth, Meladee '---------------------------

- At the beginning of the battle, Rei will spend most of his turns casting
defensive spells on himself. So, target Volg with all of your characters
to take him down quickly. Novaspark when Tatsuya attacks, Inner Strength
and Mindbender when it's Sogreth's turn, and normal attacks plus healing
when using Meladee. Make sure all of your characters have more than
half of their max HP at all times, since Volgh will unleash a very
powerful attack just before he's defeated.

Once Volgh has been taken down, use Meladee's Zed Heal in order to get
everyone back to perfect health. From now on, attack Rei with
Tatsuya's Triple Thrust and Sogreth's Nutcracker move. Meladee will
be used for healing. Rei has surprisingly little HP, so if you survived
Volgh, he won't be a problem at all.

'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
.------------------------------.-----------------.---------------------------.
BOSS BATTLE: Grandwizard Rei TATSUYA LVL: 45 SPOILS: [Wisdom Tonic]
------------------------------' ---------------- [Crystal Evil]
'---------------------------
TO STEAL: Crystal Evil
PARTY: Tatsuya, Sogreth, Meladee

- Firstly, if you're low on health, use Zed Heal to fix that problem.
In his Grandwizard form, Rei hasn't changed his attacks a lot, so you'll
be fighting the same way as you did in the previous battle. Triple
Thrust, Nutcracker and Zed Heal will be what you'll rely on.
When he's close to losing the battle, Rei uses his Rivalbinder move.
This makes him bind all of your party members to the ground, stealing
one turn, and attacking you again. Because of this, make sure you
don't forget healing - all the time.

'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
Something goes terribly wrong after the battle. This is unavoidable by the way.
You'll have to escape, but don't worry, it happens automatically.
